Galway Shopping Centre has today announced the launch of a new iphone application and together with its five sister shopping centres are the first to do so in Ireland.
The FREE downloadable mobile phone app will provide users with regular updates about news and events taking place in the centre as well as special offers available exclusively to app users. The app also allows the user to search for favourite shops as well as browse the store directory by category and pinpoint their location on interactive maps.
In addition Galway Shopping Centre has also introduced FREE wireless internet to the centre. This allows customers to access the internet on any Wi-Fi enabled device whilst in the shopping centre. Customers can therefore download the new app while in the centre and get live updates while they shop, all free of charge.
Centre Manager Paraic Naughton, commented, “We are always looking at new opportunities to communicate with our customers and with mobile phones being so much a part of people's lives now, the app seemed the perfect way to keep in touch. The fact that everyone has their phone with them constantly means we're able to engage with them instantly – far quicker than through the website. Being first to launch a shopping centre app in Ireland also means we’re giving our customers a new and unique way of finding out what’s going on in the centre and availing of exclusive offers. To increase the appeal to users we've also made the app free to download. Also with the introduction of our free Wi-Fi service we can communicate with customers ‘live’ while they shop all with the intention of delivering a richer shopping experience at Galway Shopping Centre.”
The app can be downloaded from the App Store on the iphone or via iTunes.
