3 Men and a Bike
Our shopping centre manager Paraic Naughton set off this morning to complete a Malin Head to Mizen Head journey along with the centre managers from Laois and Letterkenny shopping centres, the three of them all on the same bike.
They are raising money for Irish Cancer Society, Laois Hospice, Williams Syndrome Association and Hand in Hand Childrens Cancer Charity.
We wish them all the best of luck.
Paraic, Kevin and Brian have completed the first day of their Malin to Mizen 3 Men and a Bike challenge. They got a great send off by Donegal County Council who were working at Malin Head.
WEDNESDAY July 16th
Day 2 over, the lads are just outside Turbbercurry. They had a wet start to the day but it cleared into a very pleasant sunshine. A couple of technical difficulties (puncture) but all good after a repair in Bundoran. They also managed to get pulled over for speeding.
THURSDAY July 17th

FRIDAY July 18th
Wet start in Galway this morning so a little late leaving. Safety First. FINALLY arrived in Limerick at 4:30. All wrecked but happy to be past the halfway point.
On to Cork in the morning……
SATURDAY July 19th
Departed Limerick at 7:30 bound for Cork. Mixed weather but torrential rain stopped us in our tracks in Blarney. Decided to call it a day …..
Special thanks to Roger Beck from Parkway Shopping Centre and his family for a fantastic BBQ and hospitality last night!
SUNDAY July 20th
Day 6: Early start and a shorter distance today 67k. Beautiful weather, hazy sunshine, no wind and most importantly. No rain !
MONDAY July 21st
Day 7: a wet and foggy morning but finally, after 657 km reached Mizen Head. Considered cycling back ……….but decided against it!
Thanks to all the support along the way.
Thanks to Inishowen Morors and Eamon McLoughlin for their support along the route
